Introducing: Kiitan Kujembola
Meet Kiitan Kujembola, a branding photographer and the creative force behind LensLore. He is dedicated to telling real, intentional stories through visuals, exploring themes of identity, growth, and roots. His work emphasizes capturing people and ideas in ways that feel both honest and elevated, creating imagery that resonates with authenticity and purpose.
Introducing: Yemariam Abebayehu
Meet Yemariam Abebayehu, a poet and performer whose work moves between the personal and the collective. She performs both as a solo artist and as a member of Edmonton’s Spoken Word Youth Choir. Yemariam holds a BA in Psychology and French Language and Literature from the University of Alberta, as well as a Master’s degree in Psychology and Education from the University of Neuchâtel.
Her creative work includes the self-published poetry anthology Open Flame (2020) and Lessons in Strange Soil (2023), released as both a book and an album. Her writing has also appeared in a range of platforms and publications, including Poets of Alberta, Kiwi Collective Magazine, APIRG Almanacs, YouthWrite’s 2021 Zine, and the inaugural issue of Rootson6 Zine.
Inspired by nature and the complexities of human experience, Yemariam writes with the hope that her work offers comfort, connection, and inspiration to those who encounter it.
